Is my business under jursidiction?

Depending on what year since the date of creation, your business may be under the jursidiction of the Secretary.
All businesses that are founded or owned by a Member of the House, regardless of the assets funded by the House, are under the jursidiction in the first two years since their date of creation.
Following two years, a business only remains under jursidiction if the businesses receives funds from the House in any capacity greater than or equal to 10% of the total business assets in a biannual period.

What are the requirements for businesses under jursidiction?

All bussinesses are required to file:

  • An entity Report every two years, not including the date of creation
  • Tax reporting; should the business meet federal and State tax levels
  • Wage Reporting every year
  • What authority does the Secretary have?

    Should it be necessary, the Secreaty is obligated to take up to 60% of the business profits for the purposes of paying off the business owner's fines. In addition, should a business owner fail to report, the Secretary must report this to the Sergeant-at-Arms for enforcement pursuant to the Criminal Code Act.
